Great adventure game that takes a lot of patience, accuracy, and logical thinking. I think it has started the big adventure game hype. A revised masterpiece edition is now available.

The sequel to myst and in my opinion the best adventure game ever made. Brilliant sound effects and fantastic graphics that will make you forget everything around you. It is quite difficult though.

zork - grand inquisitor

Solid adventure game with free 360 degree view and lots of little puzzles that are mostly not too hard to solve. Perfect starting point if you want to enter the world of adventure games.

the neverhood

A very amusing adventure game that is made completely out of clay. It is not too hard and has many animated sequences which are already worth the game. My favourite Microsoft product :-)

croc - legend of the gobbos

My favourite jump-and-run game with beautiful graphics, tricky tasks, and many special levels. Controlling Croc is a lot of fun and very intuitive. It will be hard to top this game.

earthworm jim

A hilarious jump-and-run game that you will become addicted to. The people who have programmed this game must be really crazy. I think I will play it again...

gex 3d - enter the gecko

A nice jump-and-run game. Gex can do really a lot with his tails. It takes a while to get control of Gex and accuracy is not always possible, though.

blinx - the time sweeper

A jump-and-run game I have mixed feelings about. In the beginning, the time crystals that allow to rewind the time, pause the time, etc. introduce a cool new aspect. But after playing for a while, the game becomes boring because there is too much repetition, too many necessary replays of the same level, and very uncool rewards for collecting bonuses. Unfortunately, the very last level is terribly hard, includes beating monsters from previous levels, and has a final monster which can only be beaten with a lot of luck. Don't buy it, there are enough other J'n'R games that give more fun.
